The time stamp on your website content is critical for two reasons. First, it helps improve your click-through rate from the SERPs. Second, it can help improve your organic search rankings.

Set up GSC and Bing Webmaster tools

To get your website appearing in relevant searches on Google and Bing, you’ll need to set up your site in their webmaster tools programs. These programs provide detailed instructions and guidelines on how to get your site appearing in relevant searches. They also offer other benefits, such as the ability to submit a site map, which can help search engines understand the structure of your website and index your pages accordingly.

To set up your site in Google Search Console (formerly known as Google Webmaster Tools):

1. Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
2. Click the “Add a Property” button in the top-right corner.
3. Enter the URL of your website, then click “Add”.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to verify that you own the website. This is generally done by uploading a file to your web server or adding a code snippet to your site’s HTML code.
5. Once you’ve verified ownership of your website, you’ll be able to access a variety of tools and information about how your website is performing in Google search results.

To set up your site in Bing Webmaster Tools:

1. Go to https://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster
2. Enter the URL of your website, then click “Add”.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to verify that you own the website using either a file upload or HTML tag method.
4.. Once you’ve verified ownership of your website, you’ll have access to Bing’s webmaster tools where you can view information about how your website is performing in Bing search results as well as submit sitemaps and other information that can help Bing index your pages correctly

Set up Google Analytics

If you want to track your SEO progress and ensure that your efforts are paying off, you need to set up Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a free tool that allows you to track your website traffic, including how users found your site and what they did once they got there.

Setting up Google Analytics is relatively easy, but if you’re not comfortable doing it yourself, you can always hire a professional to do it for you. Once you have Google Analytics set up, you can start tracking your SEO progress and making changes accordingly.

Install and configure an SEO plugin (wordpress)

While there are many factors that contribute to good SEO, installing and configuring an SEO plugin is a great place to start. One of the most popular and user-friendly SEO plugins for WordPress is Yoast SEO. Yoast SEO is free, but also offers a premium version with more features for a small fee.

Installing and configuring Yoast SEO is straightforward. First, you’ll need to install the plugin. To do this, log in to your WordPress dashboard and go to Plugins > Add New. In the search bar, type “Yoast SEO” and hit enter. The first result should be the Yoast SEO plugin; click “Install Now” and then “Activate.”

Once the plugin is activated, you’ll see a new menu item called “SEO” in your WordPress dashboard. Click on it to access the Yoast SEO settings page. The first thing you’ll see is a message telling you that you should configure the plugin. Go ahead and click the “ConfigureYoast SEO” button.

On the next screen, you’ll be prompted to choose whether you want to use Yoast SEO for one site or multiple sites. Choose the appropriate option and click “Save Changes.”

The next screen will ask you to select your content types; for most sites, this will just be “Posts” and “Pages.” Select the content types you want to optimize for search engines and click “Save Changes.”

Now you can begin configuring Yoast SEO for your site. There are many settings here, but don’t worry – you don’t need to change everything at once (or at all). Start by going through each tab and making changes as necessary. When you’re finished, don’t forget to click “Save Changes.”

And that’s it! You’ve now installed and configured an SEO plugin for your WordPress site.

Keyword Research

Researching keywords can be a tedious and time-consuming task, but it is necessary in order to rank your website higher in the search engines. There are a few different ways to go about researching keywords. You can use a keyword research tool, look at your competitor’s keywords, or use Google AdWords Keyword Planner. Let’s take a look at each of these methods in more detail.

Identify your competitors

Before you begin your keyword research, it is important to first identify your competitors. This will give you an idea of the level of competition you are up against and what keywords they are targeting. There are a few different ways to go about this:

– Google search – Simply type in your main keyword and see who appears on the first page of results. These are likely to be your biggest competitors.

– Check social media – Have a look at who is appearing in your Twitter or Facebook feed when you search for your main keyword. These companies are also likely to be competing for attention in the search engine results pages (SERPs).

– Use a tool like Alexa or SimilarWeb – These tools give you an insight into website traffic, including where that traffic is coming from (e.g., organic search, paid search, social media, direct). This can help you to identify which keywords are driving traffic to competitor websites.

Conduct a keyword gap analysis

Perform a keyword gap analysis to find out which of your competitor’s keywords your site is missing. A keyword gap analysis entails finding the ranking keywords for your competitors that your site does not rank for. You can use a tool like SEMrush to find these gaps.

Find your main ‘money’ keywords

Your website is about a lot of things, but there are always going to be a few topics that are more important than others.

To make sure you’re attracting the right kind of traffic, you need to focus on your main ‘money’ keywords – the ones that are most relevant to your business and that will bring in the most valuable customers.

There are a few different ways to find your money keywords:

– Look at what you’re already ranking for: Use a tool like Google Search Console or SEMrush to see what keywords your website is already ranking for in organic search. These are probably pretty relevant to your business, so they could be good starting points.
– Talk to your customers: Ask your current or potential customers what they would search for if they were looking for a business like yours. This can give you some great insights into the language they use and the things they care about.
– Look at your competitors: See what keywords your competitors are targeting in their SEO campaigns. You can use a tool like SEMrush or Moz’s Keyword Explorer to do this.

Once you’ve identified some potential money keywords, it’s time to start optimizing your website for them. Make sure you include them in key places like your page titles, headings, and content, and use them naturally throughout.

Technical SEO

If you want your website to rank higher in the search engines, you need to make sure you’re doing technical SEO. This includes optimizing your website for things like site speed, mobile friendliness, and more. In this article, we’ll show you how to optimize your website for the search engines.

Leverage “Inspect URL” feature in GSC

The Inspect URL feature in Google Search Console (GSC) can be used as a quick way to check if a certain URL is valid, and if it is valid, check for any potential issues. This can be useful for diagnosing problems with your website, or for checking that a new page is accessible to Google.

To use the Inspect URL feature, simply enter the URL of the page you want to check in the GSC search box, and then click the “Inspect” button.

Ensure your website is mobile-friendly

With over two-thirds of all web traffic now coming from mobile devices, it’s more important than ever to make sure your website is mobile-friendly. Not only will this help you rank higher in search results, but it will also ensure that your visitors have a positive experience when they visit your site.

There are a few key things to keep in mind when making your site mobile-friendly:

-Make sure your site is responsive, meaning it will resize and reformat itself to fit any screen size.
-Use large font sizes that are easy to read on smaller screens.
-Simplify your design and navigation so that visitors can find what they’re looking for easily.
-Load your pages quickly – no one wants to wait around for a slow website to load.

By following these tips, you can make sure your website is ready for the increasing number of mobile users.

Check your site’s loading speed

Visitors to your site expect it to load quickly, and if it doesn’t they’ll likely leave without ever seeing what you have to offer. That’s why it’s important to check your site’s loading speed and make sure it’s up to snuff.

There are a number of ways to do this, but one of the easiest is to use Google’s PageSpeed Insights tool. Just enter your URL and click “Analyze,” and you’ll get a report detailing what could be improved.

Some common issues that can slow down your site include large images, unoptimized code, and excessive amounts of Flash or JavaScript. If you’re not sure how to fix these problems, there are plenty of resources online or you can hire a professional to help you out.

On-page and Content

The game time is 7:00 pm EST and will be broadcast on ESPN 2. The game will also be available via Watch ESPN for viewers with a pay-TV subscription. On-page, we’ll have a running blog of highlights, analysis and reaction as well as photos and video from the game.

Fix duplicate, missing, and truncated title tags

On a website, the title tag is the piece of text that appears in the search engine results page (SERP) as the clickable headline for a given result. A good title tag should be:
-Relevant to the page content
-Accurately describe the topic of the page
-Concise (55 characters or less)
-Unique to each page on your website

The content of your title tag should ideally match the contents of your meta description. If it doesn’t, you run the risk of confusing users when they see your listing in the SERP. In short, make sure your title tags and meta descriptions are accurate and consistent with each other, and with the content on your website.

Find and fix duplicate or missing meta descriptions

When it comes to on-page and content, one of the most important things you can do is to make sure that all of your meta descriptions are unique and relevant. This may seem like a small thing, but it can make a big difference in terms of your SEO. If you have duplicate or missing meta descriptions, it can hurt your ranking in the search engines.

One way to check for duplicate or missing meta descriptions is to use a tool like Screaming Frog. This tool will crawl your website and check for any duplicate or missing meta descriptions. If you find any, you will need to fix them as soon as possible.

In addition to checking for duplicate or missing meta descriptions, you should also take a look at the quality of your content. Make sure that your content is well-written and informative. It should be able to provide value to your readers. If you have thin or low-quality content, it could hurt your ranking in the search engines.

Find and fix multiple H1 tags

When creating content for your website, it’s important to use only one H1 tag per page. Multiple H1 tags can confuse search engines and make it difficult for them to understand the structure and hierarchy of your content.

To fix this, simply find all the H1 tags on your page and replace them with regular paragraph tags. If you have a lot of content on your page, you may want to consider adding more structure by using headings (H2, H3, etc.) to break up your content.

Off-Page SEO

Off-page SEO is the process of optimizing a website for better search engine rankings through activities outside of the website. This includes link building, social media engagement, and other activities that can generate backlinks and social signals.

In order to improve your own off-page SEO, it is important to understand your competitor’s link profile. By knowing who is linking to your competitor and what type of links they are using, you can develop a strategy to get similar links for your own website. Here are some tips for conducting a link analysis of your competitor:

1. Use a tool like Majestic or Moz Open Site Explorer to see which websites are linking to your competitor.

2. Take a look at the anchor text of the links to see what keywords are being used.

3. Look at the types of links (e.g., follow vs. nofollow) and try to get similar links for your own website.

4. Check out the PageRank of the websites that are linking to your competitor and try to get links from websites with a similar PageRank.

In order to verify the true theme of a website, and to determine if a site is attempting to game the system by building links from sites that are not on-topic, you can conduct a link intersect analysis. To do this, export all of the links pointing to a website into a spreadsheet, and then use a Venn diagram tool to see how much overlap there is between the linking sites.

For example, if you’re trying to determine the theme of www.example.com, you would export all of the links pointing to that site into a spreadsheet. Then, you would use a Venn diagram tool like this one: https://venngage.com/blog/venn-diagram-maker/

Once you have your Venn diagram, you can see how much overlap there is between the linking sites. If there is very little overlap (i.e., most of the linking sites are not on-topic), then it’s likely that the site is trying to game the system by building links from irrelevant sites.

Off-page SEO (also called “on-page SEO”) is the practice of optimizing a website to rank higher in search engine results. It’s a way to improve your website’s authority and visibility in search engines, which can lead to more traffic and higher revenues.

There are many different factors that contribute to off-page SEO, but one of the most important is backlinks. Backlinks are links from other websites to your website. They act as “votes” for your site, telling search engines that your site is important and relevant. The more backlinks you have, the higher your site will rank in search results.

One way to get backlinks is to target your competitor’s broken backlinks. This is a process of finding links that point to pages on your competitor’s site that no longer exist (thus the term “broken”). You can then contact the website owners and ask them to replace the broken link with a link to your website. This is an effective way to get high-quality backlinks from websites that are relevant to your business.
